I have a A.O.Smith FPSE40-226 that puts out hot water but the temp control knob is all the way up and has been for two years. My wife says she never runs out of hot water but, although the water IS hot, towards the end of my showers, I'm starting to run out of water.
The only thing that I have ever replaced on it was the PRV, about five years ago, bc it was leaking. I drain it to check sediment but have never done a flush.
My question is: Since I'm about to replace the dip tube, would it be wise to change the anode, as well?
Can anyone verify that these are the correct part numbers for the two parts: Inlet tube: 9003903005, Anode: 9006291005
Thank you. Always enjoy finding answers, here.
