I have a shallow sand well that has been used for several years to run my lawn sprinklers. I ran it successfully for 1 summer but about half way through last summer I started having problems getting my pump to stay hold the pressure to keep the heads up and drawing water from the well.
I figured it was the pump so I bought a newer, stronger pump, same problems. Replaced 1/2 hp with 3/4 hp.
I found a broken sprinkler head, replaced it. Not fixed.
I found a crack in the outlet line to the sprinkler line so I cut that down and replaced a new elbow joint. Same problem.
Checked the water in the well plenty of water.
Called a sprinkler company and of course they suggested hooking the sprinklers to the mainline but that defeats the purpose of having a well, especially a well that is grandfathered into the city code.
Please please help. Looking forward to your responses.
